Continual progress is being made on code and reiterations of our GUI. We are hoping to have a prototype ready for next week's demo. Additionally, we have a demo planned with Spot Trading in order to showcase our current progress.
We have received raw data from our client in order to perform testing of our basic libraries. Additionally, we have gained a good understanding of Quantlib and Boost. Our focus has shifted from administrative details to coding and getting some deliverables completed. Sean has also constructed a paper prototype of our GUI.
We have submitted a request to get raw data to perform some basic tests of our system. Our research into areas relating to our project continue.
The Jira server is up, we have complete control of a machine in the Senior Design Lab, and we've been granted access to 29West software to aid in network programming.
We visited Spot Trading LLC in Chicago, Illinois. It was an extremely educational experience. We sat live with traders(our user base) and saw how they utilize computers and technology to perform better. We now have a better sense of our project's fit in the scope of the company.
Our requirements document has been signed off on; we are currently working on a system design breakdown, which has evolved from our features breakdown. We will continue to fine-tune this document and eventually hammer out a detailed work breakdown schedule.
