Purpose
The Provenance Signature Library (PSL) is a software library that will provide the ability to add X.509 certified digital signatures to provenance information recorded using the de facto standard Open Provenance Model.
November
- 13th : Team met to code: Ant build creates PSL jar file
- 11th : Sam and Ryan gave presentations about Digital Signatures and RDF in class
- 6th : Team met to continue programming prototype. Added signing functionality using the JCE provider. The algorithms used were RSA and SHA-1.
- 4th : Nick gave presentation in class about Semantic Web
- 3rd : Sam fixed triple fetcher method in code so that it actually filters results
October
- 28th : Joe gave presentation in class about PSL
- 21st : Additions are made to the website. Team met to add code for connectors. Team information and roles were added to main wiki page. Work breakdown document still needs to be added to "Downloads"
- 20th : Liaison, Jim Myers, suggested reading a paper on named graphs
- 19th : Additions are made to the website
- 16th : Team met to start programming
- 14th : Team met to talk about work to be done for following week
- 7th : Joe Futrelle suggested reading a paper about signing RDF graphs
- 6th : Additions are made to the website
September
- 30th : Team met to discuss Dropbox and other utilities for improving collaborative work
- 25th : Team met to complete rough draft of project requirements document
