Project Description:
Develop a submission management system for Motorola's software engineering
symposium paper judging process.
This system needs to include:
> Registering authors (passwords and personal data)
> Accepting papers from authors
> Tracking status of each submission
- flexible set of "states" (i.e. "intention", "abstract", "working", "submitted", "reworking", "final")
> Registering judges
> Assigning papers to judges (automatic distribution with manual tweaking by head judge to
handle conflicts of interest)
> Accepting scores from judges
> Accumulating scores and doing rankings based on several ranking functions
> Presenting scores data and papers during judging meeting
> Supporting assigning papers to sessions and scheduling sessions
> Issuing reminder e-mail to authors and judges at various points in the process
